1. Who we are
Outfitly is an AI-powered fashion price comparison website operated at outfitly.uk. We help UK shoppers find the best outfit prices across major UK retailers. When we refer to "we", "us" or "our" in this policy, we mean Outfitly.
2. What information we collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, including search queries you enter on our site. If you upload a photo for our virtual try-on feature, we collect that image temporarily to process your request. We also collect standard technical information automatically including your IP address, browser type, pages visited and time spent on our site through analytics tools.
3. How we use your information
We use your search queries to provide outfit suggestions powered by AI. We use uploaded photos solely to generate virtual try-on renders — photos are deleted immediately after processing and never stored permanently. We use technical data to improve our service, understand how users interact with our site and fix technical issues.
4. Affiliate links and third parties
Outfitly contains affiliate links to third party retailer websites including ASOS, Next, M&S, Boohoo, John Lewis, River Island and others. When you click these links and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. These retailers have their own privacy policies which govern how they handle your data once you leave our site. We use Awin as our affiliate network partner.
5. Cookies
We use essential cookies to make our site work properly. We may also use analytics cookies to understand how visitors use our site. You can control cookie settings through your browser. We do not use cookies to track you across other websites or serve you targeted advertising.
6. Your photo and virtual try-on
If you use our virtual try-on feature and upload a photo, we want to be completely transparent about how it is handled. Your photo is sent securely to our try-on processing service. It is used only to generate the try-on render you requested. It is deleted immediately after the render is complete. We never store, share, or use your photo for any other purpose. We never use your photo for training AI models.
7. Data sharing
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not share your search queries or personal information with retailers. We share data only with service providers who help us operate our site — including our hosting provider (Vercel), database provider (Supabase) and AI provider (Anthropic) — all of whom are bound by strict data processing agreements.
8. Data retention
Search queries may be retained for up to 30 days to help us improve our service. Uploaded photos are deleted immediately after try-on processing. Analytics data is retained for up to 26 months. You can request deletion of any data we hold about you at any time.
9. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate data, request deletion of your data, object to processing of your data, and request restriction of processing. To exercise any of these rights please contact us at privacy@outfitly.uk.
10. Children
Our service is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child please contact us immediately.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting a notice on our site. Your continued use of Outfitly after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
